New Web Site Offers Help with Compliance

Construction Industry Compliance Assistance Can Be Found at
www.CICAcenter.org

NAHB and three other national trade associations have been working with EPA’s Office of Compliance for over two years to develop an environmental compliance assistance Web site for builders, developers and contractors. The Web site, called the Construction Industry Compliance Assistance Center, is organized by environmental topic with separate sections covering stormwater, solid waste (construction debris), hazardous waste, air, wetlands, endangered species and green building.

NAHB has provided the site with all of the up-to-date information about Phase II permits. Clicking on the “Stormwater” tab will bring up a page that has background information on storm water regulations, which includes a link called Find Your State Phase II Forms and Instructions. Here you will find state specific information on Phase II.

In addition, the “Stormwater” tab's drop down menu includes a “SWPPP” link that takes users to introductory information about Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans.

NAHB staff is eager to hear what you think about the site. Please contact Amy Ericksen (800-368-5242 x8662) or Marolyn Parson (x8157) to share your opinions and ideas for making it better. [ return to top ]
